Two years after branding The Play Café in Bryn Mawr, we were approached by owner Lauren Ainsworth to assist with the naming, design and implementation of their new retail component, code-named “the shop” at the time.
We brainstormed a handful of possible names and sketched visual representations of each one. Some solutions are solely typographic, while others integrate icons using The Play Café’s already-established visual language. After much consideration, “marketplayce” emerged as the winner, with a graphic representation that was closely aligned with their company logo. Photos courtesy Sisters to Sons.
