CLIENT: The Philadelphia School (TPS), Philadelphia, PA

DESIGN reMARKS: Graphic marks created for TPS are responsive to the existing visual identity, most notably defined by a logo that features bricks and a vine. The font—Myriad—is consistently used, especially in the display of the school’s name. The official school colors—red and warm gray—are always present. We try to capture the vibe of the school by injecting each mark with warmth, imagination, and creativity. Like the theme-based academic program at TPS, many of the marks we create are theme-inspired and grow into larger visual identities.

Monday Marks: Every Monday, for twenty-one consecutive weeks, we’ll be blogging about a graphic mark designed by our creative team. We’ll reveal the meaning and inspiration and share the many questions that each mark seeks to answer. The series begins on our 21st birthday, May 19, 2014. BookMARK our blog and see how we have made our mark!
